Understanding the Quran was never about studying harder.
He learned that after ten years of formal training. Shaykh Shibly tells the story of what actually changed it, and why this course is built the way it is.
Layer one
You notice your lack of Islamic knowledge
-
You pray Fajr and your mind is elsewhere.
-
A religious question comes up in the family group chat and you can't answer it
-
You open three tabs for one question. None of them are decisive.
-
You recite a surah you have known since you were 7 and could not translate a line of it.
-
You have saved lectures you have never gone back to.
-
You are on your phone watching scholars contradict each other about the same question.
Layer two
The doubts and questions creep in.
-
“I want confidence in my Deen, but don't know who to trust”
-
Your child asks you something basic and you reach for your phone.
-
A non-Muslim colleague asks a fair question and you hear yourself struggle to answer
-
You tell yourself you'll study the deen when you get more time. So you delay
-
Another Ramadan is coming and you have promised yourself you'll get serious before it, the same way you did last year.
You are not short on information. It is everywhere. What you are short on is time and clarity. You need someone who pulls it together and explains Islamic concepts simply.
From Shaykh Shibly Rahaman
I have taught the Quran to hundreds of students. The same thing happened every time.
I studied for close to a decade in South Africa. I came back and started teaching: at Dar al-Salam, at masajids, at universities, in 32 states and across the USA.
And in every single one of those rooms, the same thing kept happening.
“
I would open a line of Al-Fatiha, or explain what subhana rabbiyal a'la actually says, and I would watch a grown man go completely still. An engineer. A physician. A father of three who has prayed five times a day since childhood. And afterwards he would come up to me, slightly embarrassed, and say some version of: I have been saying that for years. I had no idea what it meant.
Most programs never start with where most Muslims struggle
I am offering you a system built on what I have successfully taught busy muslims.
Take one step. Allah will meet you there.

Perspective
What $50 a month is next to
Against a one-time course
This same material was going to be sold as a single course for $300 to $400, paid upfront. Six to eight months of membership costs the same. Except across those months you also get twenty-four to thirty-two live sessions with the teacher, a community he is active in, and everything added along the way. And at month six the course becomes permanently yours regardless of what you do next.
Against a weekend seminar
A weekend seminar costs more than a month here, runs for two days, and ends on Sunday night. Nobody is there on Wednesday when the question actually comes up.
Against free
Free Islamic content is abundant and a lot of it is excellent. That has been true for years, and you already have access to all of it. It's also why you have a folder of saved lectures you haven't reopened and courses in your inbox you didn't finish. The thing free content cannot give you is order, a finish line, and a teacher who answers your question on Sunday.
The honest version: $50 a month is roughly $1.65 a day, which is less than a cup of coffee. One scholar, with a structured program, active community of other muslims, live calls and messaging with a qualified Scholar.
Full transparency
What happens if you cancel
Saying this plainly, because you have been burned by a paid programme before and you are looking for the catch.
If you cancel before six months
Access to the course, the Discord, the live calls and the resource downloads ends. You keep any PDF you already downloaded to your own device, but the download page closes with your membership.
If you cancel after six months
The course lessons are yours permanently. All 42 of them, member or not. Six months at $50 is $300, which is what this course was going to sell for on its own, as a one-time purchase. At that point you have bought it, so you keep it. The Discord and the live calls end, because those are the living parts. They only exist while you're in the room.
If you cancel in the first seven days
You get your money back. From the day you joined, no questions, no explanation required.
There is no contract, no minimum term, and no cancellation call. You cancel from your account page.
Positioning
How this compares to how Islamic education is usually delivered
No names, because this isn't about anyone's character. It is about format.
| Quran Made Simple | The usual approach | |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | ✓ One path, seven modules, in order | ✗ A catalogue you assemble yourself |
| Starting point | ✓ Surahs you are already familiar with | ✗ Wherever the syllabus begins |
| The teacher | ✓ One teacher, every lesson | ✗ A different instructor per course |
| Arabic | ✓ None required, ever | ✗ Assumed, or taught first for a year |
| Lesson length | ✓ 15–20 minutes | ✗ 60–90 minute lectures, or 20+ academic hours |
| Salah | ✓ Every word of it, in the first section | ✗ Rarely taught as a topic at all |
| Live access | ✓ Weekly, same teacher, recorded | ✗ None, or a forum, or a mid-workday call |
| Where schools differ | ✓ Different madhab perspectives shown | ✗ One position, or none stated |
| Teaching Culture | ✓ Calm, practice, no polemics | ✗ Often doubt, debate, or academic |
| When you finish | ✓ A structured plan and deeper understanding of the Quran | ✗ A certificate, or nothing |
| Cost | ✓ $50/month, cancel anytime | ✗ Free and unfinished, or $400–$2,400 upfront |
The process
What your first week looks like
Day one
30 minutes · Module 0
Join, and watch Module 0. Three short lessons. You'll see Al-Fatiha opened, and you'll have Shaykh Shibly's 4 Step Method explained. You'll join the community on Discord and meet other eager muslims on this journey.
Days two to six
about 20 min a day · Module 1, one lesson a day
Will dive deeper into the course materials. Module 1. Al-Fatiha line by line, then the takbir, ruku, sujood, tashahhud, the closing. One lesson a day. Each one ends with one thing to do in your next prayer.
Day seven
Sunday live session, 2:00pm ET
By the 7th day you have joined our first live session at 2:00pm ET. Finished the first two sections of the course. You should see improvement in your Salah from takbir to taslim, understanding every word.
That's the pattern from then on. 20 minutes a day, one hour on Sunday for the live calls.
Honest fit
Is this for you?
This will work for you if
-
You pray, and you could not translate most of what you say.
-
You have 20 minutes a day. Not two hours.
-
You have children who are going to start asking questions, and you want to be the one who answers.
-
You've never studied Arabic and you assumed that ruled you out. It doesn't. The course requires none.
-
You've moved somewhere with no teacher you trust, or the local options are inconsistent.
-
You came to Islam later and the basics were never properly taught to you, and asking now feels awkward.
-
You already recite Al-Kahf on Fridays or Al-Mulk at night and would like to know what you're reading.
This is not for you if
-
You want to learn to recite: tajweed, makhraj, pronunciation. That's a different skill and this course doesn't teach it.
-
You want a scholarly qualification or an alim programme. This is not that, and it won't pretend to be.
-
You want a fatwa on your specific situation. Shaykh Shibly teaches here; he does not issue personal rulings on the calls.
-
You're looking for debate, apologetics, or arguments against other Muslims. None of that appears anywhere in this course, by design.
-
You want more content to collect. If nothing in your week is going to change, this will just be another folder.
-
You won't give it 20 minutes a day. 20 minutes is the whole ask, and below that nothing works.

Questions
I've paid for Islamic courses before and never finished them. Why would this be different?
Do I need to know Arabic?
What is Shaykh Shibly's background? Which madhab does he follow?
Free Islamic content is everywhere. Why pay $50 a month?
What happens if I cancel?
Is this a course or a membership?
I can't make Sundays at 2:00pm ET. Is it still worth it?
How much time does this take?
Is this for beginners or for people who've already studied?
Do I have to go in order?
Is Shaykh Shibly actually in the Discord?
Will this teach me to recite properly, with tajweed and pronunciation?
Is this for women too?
My children are young. Is there anything for them?
What if I have a personal fiqh question about my mortgage, my marriage, my situation?
Will there actually be new content, or is this it?

A note from Shaykh Shibly
I have spent more than ten years in rooms with Muslims who love Allah and could not tell you the meaning of the Surahs they recite daily. Not one of them was insincere. They had simply never been taught, and at some point it became embarrassing to ask.
If that is you, I want to say clearly: it is not too late, and it was never your fault. You blindly learned the words. Nobody taught you the meaning.
This course will help with that. It starts with verses you already are familiar with and expands from there. And I will be there on Sundays for whatever comes up.
Whether you join or not, go and look up one line of Al-Fatiha tonight. Understand it fully. Just one line. See what happens in tomorrow's Fajr.
Take one step. Allah will meet you there.
