Most Muslims have been praying their whole lives and still aren’t sure they’re doing it right. There’s a gap between believing and actually understanding.
Our Purpose
Simple Sunnah exists to close that gap. Founded with Shaykh Shibly Rahman, we teach the basics of Islam thoroughly and without shortcuts. We sit with the foundations until they make sense, then we show how everything else grows from there. Our courses are built for the Muslim who is done guessing and ready to actually understand their deen. You don’t need Arabic. You don’t need to take years off from your job. You need a starting point and a scholar willing to walk you through it.
Our Vision
We see a generation of Muslim families where the father can answer his daughter when she asks why we fast. Where the mother prays with her own children and they grow up watching faith practiced with conviction. Where parents are not the last in the chain to understand their own deen, and the children inherit something whole. If that happens in enough homes, the ummah looks different a generation from now. That’s what we’re working toward.
Simple Sunnah is the school we wish we’d had. We’re building it now, slowly and properly, for the family you’re raising and the deen they’ll carry.

ABOUT SHAYKH SHIBLY
Shaykh Shibly Rahman spent nearly a decade studying under Mufti Ebrahim Desai, Shaykh Fazlur Rahman Azmi, and Mufti Saeed Motara at Darul Uloom Azaadville in South Africa. He earned his Alimiyyah ijazah and now serves as Imam at Masjid Darul Iman in Toronto and instructor at Darussalam Seminary in Chicago.
He has taught over 1,000 students in person across 32 U.S. states, Canada, the UK, and South Africa. He also given lectures at Princeton, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Chicago.
